Wooden Shoe Tulips

Here in western Oregon our springtimes are usually characterized by lots of clouds and rain showers...which is a good thing as it keeps us green. However, it sometimes gets annoying for photographers like me who work full time and mostly take pictures on the weekends. For several years I've tried to make it to the tulip festival when it was clear enough to see Mt Hood but the weather never cooperated. This year we're having the driest spring on record so far, which is very concerning for summer...but I took advantage of it to finally get the shots I had been wanting.
