Little Lakes Valley
After an incredible sunrise at Mono Lake, I drove south along the eastern Sierras, passing by Silver Lake and stopping briefly at the incredible and unique Convict Lake, which I definitely plan to return and hike from. I managed to snag the very last trailhead parking spot at the extremely popular Little Lakes Valley trail. It's popular since the elevation gain is minimal, only about 1,000 feet in 8 miles round trip. The views absolutely blew me away. Majestic and beautiful...this was my first taste of the High Sierras!
