Lake Manyara and Tarangire
In 2020, due to the global fear pandemic which continues to rage on, my travel plans of course changed a lot from what I expected. I had to cancel my planned trip to Ireland in June, and a few other ideas I thought of as backups were not possible due to continuing border restrictions. Finally by late fall it came down to one country which was on my bucket list and wide open for tourism -- Tanzania. I found a safari operated by a reliable local company and left for an incredible 10-day trip. It was truly a once in a lifetime opportunity to visit world famous parks such as Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater with only a few other tourists around. I found more animals in just a few days than probably my whole previous photography career put together! This gallery below features Lake Manyara National Park, known for its tree climbing lions...and Tarangire National Park, known for its elephants and baobab trees.
