Ireland IV - Donegal Region
After checking out of the gorgeous Lough Eske Castle Hotel, I drove north to Glenveagh National Park, enjoying some amazing early morning light along the way. After waiting a few minutes for rain showers to pass, I hiked to a viewpoint above Glenveah Lough and Castle. Nearby is the Bridge of Tears, and amazing church ruins in Dunlewey. I then drove south along the coast, through Glegesh Pass to Glencombkille Folk Village. After a brief stop at Cloghanmore Megalithic Tomb, I ended the day at the dramatic Slieve League Cliffs.
