Crater Lake Winter

In early February 2021, I got a rare chance when several days of snow in the Oregon Cascades ended just before a weekend. Workers at Crater Lake re-opened the road to the rim Friday afternoon so I knew it would be pristine and beautiful. I arrived just before sunrise the next morning to an absolutely magical winter wonderland. I spent all day snowshoeing through the beautiful fresh powder and enjoying this classic Oregon gem in a completely new way!
