Sabrina Basin

For my third day in the Sierra Nevada I hiked a bit further south, starting from Sabrina Lake just east of Bishop and hiking up into the beautiful Sabrina Basin at 11,000ft. There was still some snow in a few places on the trail but not nearly as much as further north. The mountains here are steep and rugged, incredibly majestic. My favorite was Hungry Packer Lake, with massive 13,418ft Mt Haeckel rising almost straight out of its waters. Also nearby is the unique Moonlight Falls flowing down from Moonlight Lake.
