New Zealand VI: Northern South Island

Toward the end of my trip, after visiting the Highland Lakes, Fiordland, Milford Sound, southeast coast, and west coast... I drove north of Christchurch into the northern part of the South Island. I hadn't visited this area back in 2016, and didn't have many expectations... but I was blown away by the incredible scenery. Especially in the far north, the color of the water and beauty of the scattered islands was absolutely surreal. My next to last night in New Zealand was probably my favorite campsite right along the bay -- I really wanted to stay for another night!
