April 8, 2024 Total Solar Eclipse

I booked tickets to Texas around eight months in advance for the April 8, 2024 total solar eclipse. After experiencing the 2017 eclipse in my local area I knew that the experience of totality was worth the effort to see! My photography skills and equipment were much improved by 2024 so I hoped to capture as much as I could. A buddy of mine owns the same model camera so I arranged to borrow his camera and rent a long lens to capture both close up and wide angle shots. The day of the eclipse was cloudy most of the morning but began to clear mid-day and ended up absolutely perfect, with the passing clouds actually enhancing the photos I captured. What an absolutely incredible experience!
