Lofoten by Day Part 2

During our time in Lofoten we experienced a huge variety of weather. Winters are mild here considering the latitude, with the average temperature around 28 degrees Fahrenheit. When we arrived, there was about six inches of beautiful fresh snow. We then had a wind storm with 70+ mph gusts, complete with thunder and pouring rain. Then more fresh snow arrived, and finally a couple days with mild weather and some clear nights for aurora viewing. Overall, the weather here is quite wild and unpredictable -- if you want to see aurora, it's best to plan on staying for a couple weeks!
