Colorado Fall Colors

I'd been wanting to visit Aspen, Colorado for quite some time and caught my chance in October 2019. I booked the trip last minute in order to hopefully ensure good timing and weather which worked out nicely. Just a couple days before the trip I learned of an incredible ghost town called Crystal, CO which is apparently well known but I'd never heard of it. It's remote and can only be reached with a 4x4. I managed to find a Jeep rental, and together with my folks who joined me on their way home to South Dakota, we managed to make it. Quite the adventure, but well worth it. Absolutely incredible, picture perfect location and fall colors at full peak. Next day we visited the ridiculously popular and crowded Maroon Bells, very beautiful as well though unfortunately the lack of moisture this fall meant the lake was extremely low. Beautiful are and well worth visiting!
