Taiwan
In October 2024, I was given the opportunity to visit Taiwan for a week, sponsored by EVA Airways and the Taiwan board of tourism. This was a really unique experience for me -- usually I avoid big cities and crowds but this trip plunged me straight into them. It was very interesting to experience Chinese culture for the first time. I did also enjoy how the large cities in Taiwan are quite clean and visitor friendly... for those who enjoy cities and night life it's a great destination. There is also quite a bit of natural beauty... we spent one day northeast of Taipei along the coast which was my favorite part of the trip, enjoying a geological park and smaller villages. The food was amazing of course also the entire time!
