San Pedro de Atacama at Night

While I ended up enjoying some nice scenery during the day as well, my main purpose for traveling to Chile in August 2025 was for smart scope astrophotography. I managed to cram three scopes into my carry on bags - two Vaonis Vespera IIs, and a Seestar S50. Thankfully my checked bag with tripods made it, and I was blessed with 100% clear skies for my entire nine night stay, enabling me to collect 185 data-hours of observations. While all my astro images are uploaded on the dedicated Deep Sky page, this trip was so incredible on its own that I felt it deserved its own page!
