Yucatan Peninsula

In early December 2018, I traveled on my first international weekend trip, down to Cancun on the Yucatan peninsula of Mexico. I've wanted to visit some of the Mayan archaeological sites there for awhile, and they were well worth the effort! Chitchen Itza and Tulum are particularly amazing and very beautiful. Coba is mysterious, the massive capital city of the Mayan civilization, almost completely lost to the jungle. Of course, since I was in Mexico my cousin who went with me and I had to stay at an awesome all inclusive beach resort north of Cancun -- really beautiful and even a little time to relax!
