Peru IV: Machu Picchu

At the end of our volunteer work, I traveled with the team to the incomparable Machu Picchu. World famous, and constantly struggling with overcrowding, this incredible site deserves every bit of its fame, and status as one of the Seven Wonders of the World. It remains one of my favorite archaeological sites anywhere in the world...and even now after visiting it on three separate occasions, it's no less incredible than the first time I saw it. No words can fully describe it's magic and mystery, and photos struggle to do it justice.
