Rainier August 2018

Mount Rainier National Park is unquestionably one of my favorite places in the entire world. In fact, if I was forced to choose a single favorite place, this might be it. Most of the month of August 2018 was not particularly nice in Oregon as the smoke from wildfires all over California, Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia severely choked our skies and view. This particular weekend it rained a bit on Saturday, and was supposed to be sunny Sunday so I figured it might be clear for a short time after the rain. I was correct and had about six hours of good photographic conditions. The gallery below was the result of just one half day photo shoot -- the first shot in the gallery is my favorite, and may be my favorite photo I've ever taken.
