Chasm Lake and RMNP
After Wyoming and Montana, I headed to Colorado where my parents live for a few weeks. On Saturday morning I left early and drove about an hour from their house up into Rocky Mountain National Park near Mt. Evans. The hike to Chasm Lake is relatively short, only climbing about 2,300ft so fairly easy. The wildflowers were at peak... absolutely gorgeous Colorado Columbines, making for some really great scenes. Later that afternoon, we drove up into the main part of the park and enjoyed a few scenic spots along with a great herd of elk hanging out near the top of the pass.
