Bishop Pass

After hiking Kearsarge Pass, the next trail on my list was Bishop Pass. From the reports I read online, this was reported to be one of the most beautiful trails in California, and for the most part it did not disappoint. The pass itself is higher than Kearsarge at 11,976ft, and the views from the pass were not particularly impressive. If I had it to over again I would have still done the hike but skipped the last mile and 800ft elevation gain. The rest of the trail hiking up past a chain of lakes was absolutely stunning, and well deserving of its reputation!
