North Sisters Wilderness
For the second half of my first weekend hiking in July, I headed to the more remote and lightly visited north side of Three Sisters Wilderness in central Oregon. Much of this area has been burned in recent years sadly, but once you get past the burn the views and scenery are incredible. I’d never had a chance to get this close to North Sister, along with partial views of Middle Sister and Little Brother. From this angle the entire Cascade range of Oregon is lined up perfectly, from Sisters to Belknap Crater, Mt. Washington, Three Fingered Jack, Jefferson, and Hood in the distance.
