New Zealand III: Fiordland and Milford Sound
After spending a day in the Glenorchy area, the weather was still holding fantastic so I looped south from Queenstown around to Fiordland National Park, about five hours drive away, though as the crow flies it's only a few miles. I spent the day driving up to Milford Sound and enjoying the unparalleled mountain scenery along the way. Toward evening I hiked up Key Summit. After a beautifully clear night at a campsite not far from Fiordland, I returned to the park and hiked up to stunning Lake Marian the next day.
