Greece VII - Mystra

After visiting ancient Mycenae, our last stop was the village of Mystra in the beautiful Spartan valley. We checked into our lovely boutique hotel and enjoyed a nice meal in the village square, then explored the incredible Byzantine ruins just outside the town. This site dates to about 1250 AD, so much newer than most of the other sites we visited, but no less amazing.
