In March 2020, I had the opportunity to go flying again with my pilot friend. This time we flew east from Independence to Mt Jefferson. It's not as well known as other Oregon mountains due to being quite remote, but is really incredible. From the air the summit looks completely different than you would expect! We had an incredibly clear day and were treated to views of Mt Hood, Adams, and Helens in the distance as well! Flying south from Jefferson, we passed high over Three Fingered Jack and Mt Washington, then looped around the Three Sisters who were wearing cute little cloud caps. A truly incredible and unique experience to view all these mountains from the air!
