Ireland X - Dingle Peninsula
After exploring the southernmost peninsulas in Ireland, the following day I backtracked north to the Dingle Peninsula, stopping first at the Gap of Dunloe near Killarney. I hiked part way up, enjoying the beautiful scenery before the crowds of tour buses arrived. Proceeding toward Dingle, the weather was very clearly changing, as a full blown storm was approaching. Thankfully the rain held off most of the day, though it became too windy to fly my drone after mid-morning. I had great opportunities for light and dramatic clouds along the way! After circling the Dingle Peninsula, I headed around the Ring of Kerry toward my B&B on Valentia Island. As the rain finally approached, I was rewarded with a couple stunning rainbows and more dramatic clouds with a few breaks in the rain so I could capture photos of a beautifully well preserved thousand year old ringfort. Finally around 5pm it settled into a steady rain, so I gave up and tucked into my cozy and dry room for the night!
