Emerald Lake and Mt Timpanogos

Four months after moving to Utah, I finally got the opportunity to go hiking in the beautiful high Wasatch mountains east of Salt Lake area. Just a couple hours away from where I live in high desert sagebrush and juniper, these mountains feature gorgeous alpine meadows, green forests, stunning lakes, and patches of snow remaining in mid-July. I had heard the high mountains in Utah were beautiful, but I was really blown away by the scenery which rivals anywhere else I've hiked in the world! Definitely will be heading back up into the mountains again soon!
