Lassen National Park

For Fourth of July weekend, 2022 I flew to Reno and started my adventures at Lassen National Park. I really wish I had visited here sooner as more than 60% of the park was affected by the 2021 Dixie Fire. Thankfully most of the areas with good views and lakes were unaffected, but I wasn't able to hike to Bumpas Hell as I'd hoped -- it was closed due to fire damage. This is a very unique and volcanic park...one of the most volatile and dangerous volcanoes along the western US chain -- last exploding in 1915. I had plenty of time so ended up hiking to the top since it was relatively easy -- only five miles and 2k elevation gain.
